We are pleased to extend this opportunity to Taekwondo practitioners in India for advance Poomsae& demonstration seminars/camps. These seminars are an initiative by IKTA to promote modern day Taekwondo in India .In our quest to popularise different aspects of Taekwondo as a sport and martial art, we would be organising tailor made programmes for Poomsae/demonstration techniques.Taekwondo Poomsae is gaining massive popularity as a sport event in modern day Taekwondo and has become an integral part of all major WTF events. The WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships were introduced since 2006 and has been an major annual event by the WTF.Taekwondo Poomsae has also become a part of the Asian, Commonwealth, as well as the European and Pan American Taekwondo Championship. We have produced National and International medallists at WTF sanctioned events in the last 2 years and are moving at a rapid pace to evolve this aspect of taekwondo.

Our aim is to popularise Taekwondo Poomsae and bring laurels for our countries at the World Poomsae championships as well as introduce modern taekwondo Poomsae .

Master Abhishek Dubey conferred with the Letter of Commendation from the KUKKIWON

Master Abhishek Dubey has been conferred with the Letter of Commendation from the KUKKIWON ( World Taekwondo Headquarters ). This honour was bestowed upon him in recognition of his outstanding contribution in development and promotion of Taekwondo. The felicitation took place at the Kukkiwon in seoul , Mr Ko,Kwang Mun ,the Section Chief of Asia pacific Division at the Kukkiwon presented the Letter of Commendation  to Master Dubey. Kukkiwon is the  International Taekwondo body that issues Dan certificates and are constantly involved with development of taekwondo around more than 190 countries. Kukkiwon dan certificates are accepted at the Olympic Games and world Championships as well as other major Taekwondo events hosted by the WTF.Kukkiwon has been nurturing Taekwondo as a martial art, and sport since its inception in 1973.. Master Dubey says " This award will always be a special one as its awarded from the Kukkiwon and it will constantly keep me reminding about my duties towards Taekwondo and Taekwondo people."

Team India excels in Korea

Indian Team excels in Korea at the 5th World Taekwondo Expo & Chuncheon Open.

The team bagged 7 medals in overall and diplayed their talent at the International level thus embarking our countries presence at the world level. On behalf of IKTA , I would like to congratulate all the athletes and thank all the Coaches & parents wh have been the pillars of support & the mere cause of this achievement.India is proud of these athletes .

Ist Zone Taekwondo poomsae Champions

Indo Korean Taekwondo Academy bagged the Championship Cup at the 1st Zone Open Taekwondo Poomsae Championship organised by Taekwondo Association of Suburban Mumbai. The team showed its supremacy by winning 7 gold medal to grab the Cup.
The medalists were :
Gold : Kathit Arora, Shaachi Khanna, Ishee Pardeshi, Esha Tiwari, Abrar sayyed, Pragati Pherwani.
Silver : Navisha Amin, Harsh Anand, Surabhi Arora
Bronze :  Pranav Anand, Krittika Shetty, Vaishnavi Nair, Ashwin

1st Open Zone Taekwondo Poomsae Championship ,Mumbai 2011

IKTA is pleased to announce that the 1st Open Zone Taekwondo poomsae will we conducted by IKTA.The championship Event would comprise of Individual poomsae. The c'ship is organised by the Taekwondo Association of Suburban Mumbai , affiliated to TAM & TFI.

The 8th Chuncheon Open is an WTF sanctioned event that hosts sparring, poomsae, Kyukpa & demonstration aspects of taekwondo.

KUKKIWON - The World Taekwondo Headquarters

Kukkiwon, the historical center for World taekwondo has been a dream destination for taekwondo practitioners across the globe.
